■ Stefan Andreassen joined a select group when he produced the perfect shot at Tahunga during a Gisborne East Coast Veteran Golfers' event on Tuesday.
The Poverty Bay member aced the 128-metre fourth hole with an 8-iron-hit shot.
“I saw it (his ball) bounce straight at the pin and I said ‘that's all over it'.
When he got to the green he couldn't see his ball so looked in the hole . . . “and there it was”.
It was Andreassen's second hole-in-one, the other achieved on the 17th hole at his former club, Mount Maunganui.
The previous player to have a hole-in-one at Tahunga was Patutahi club president Tony Green in March, 2013
