An in-form Shannon Toa has started the year in silverware-winning style.

Toa collected the Summer Cup title with a three-round stableford total of 118 points (38, 41, 38).

Nipping at his heels was Mike Christophers on 116, folllowed by Rob Taylor on 113.

A sublime front-nine set up Pat Johansen for victory in the women's stableford on Sunday.

Johansen was all guns ablazing in her first-half 40 but ran out of bullets in the second nine with 50, although her 90-24-66, for 43 points, was the round of the day.

Mihi Marino was near-equally impressive in finishing second with 91-24-67, for 42.

Pete Stewart, James Witika and Glynn Williams will have targets on their back heading into the matchplay rounds of the Handicap Cup competition.

Stewart recorded net 71 to grab the No.1 ranking in the six-man senior division.

He was two shots ahead of Anaru Reedy and those two advanced directly to the semifinals, leaving Tom Reynolds and Anthony Pahina and Rod Moore and Zane Boyle to fight it out in the quarterfinals.

Witika impressed with a net 67 to easily top the intermediate division.

He was six shots clear of the field.

Seven progressed to the quarterfinals, leaving Craig Christophers and Danny Boyle to battle for the eighth berth.

Williams' 67 earned him the No.1 junior seeding and he moved directly to the semifinals, along with Jordan Coppen (69).

Who they face there will be decided by Paul Wellard v Dave Harrison and Ray Grace v Darrel Gregory.

Kobe Jones threatened to do it on Sunday then achieved it on Monday — sub-100.

Jones won the junior men's net on Sunday with 101-33-68 and carved four shots off that on Monday to win the voucher day net with 97-33-64.

Eddie Brown Junior had four birdies in his 71-3-68, which won the senior men's net on Sunday.

Denise Johnston put together a solid 80-9-71 to win the women's division.

STU Harbottle's quest to qualify for the Sean Shivnan Pharmacy 2022 men's shootout got a huge boost with his best round in over a year on Saturday.

Harbottle, who for the past two years has been knocked out on the 10th hole of the shootout final, posted 77-12-65 to win the division 1 men's stableford and put himself well on track to make the 2022 shootout decider.

Harbottle denied Cliff Poole the division 1 honours by one point.

A quadruple bogey-8 on the 16th marred but did not derail Sam Willock's efforts in last Thursday's competition. Willock won division 2 with 87-20-67, thanks to a front nine holes of 41 off the stick.

John Kerekere and Rob Johnstone were the Sunday men's stableford division winners.

Both had 39 points.

Spud Te Rito and Marg Tuapawa were clearcut winners of the foursomes stableford on Sunday.

The Te Rito/Tuapawa combo rattled off 42 points to win by three.

There is no club competition this Sunday.
