PERCY Milner left the field in his wake in winning the net on Sunday.

His 81-11-70 was five strokes clear of second-placed Aaron Coker.

There is no club competition this Sunday.

REIGNING champion Colleen Skuse will defend the Kevin Hollis Glass women's shootout title on Sunday.

Whether it's a successful defence will be known after several hours of the popular hole-by-hole net elimination final.

Skuse chipped in on the 18th for a net eagle last year to knock out Jan Steele and claim the loot.

She only just made the final 19 this year as one of three players on a net qualifying score of 227, which nabbed the 17th to 19th spots.

But the shootout is simply about qualifying, not where you qualify.

Marg Colebourne nabbed the No.1 spot with a 214 total for her three best nets.

BOTH men's and women's shootout finals will be held on Sunday after last week's rain closed the course.

The women are to report at 7.30am for an 8am start.

The men are to report at 8.45am for a 9am start.

COMING UP: SUNDAY, Dec 5, Christmas hams open tournament, rescheduled from Nov 22.

The Mahia men's 2-day open tournament is on Saturday/Sunday, November 20-21.

Gross, net, stableford and teams sections, along with approaches, long drives and twos.

There is a $5000 prize table and entry fee includes meals.

A 9-hole haggle will be held pre-tournament on Friday, November 20, from midday to 4pm.
