Gisborne teenager Tyler Finau ended the national age group championships in Auckland as she started them . . . in golden form.
The Enterprise Cars Swim Team member took her title tally to nine with victories in the 12-13 years girls’ 200 metres individual medley and 400m freestyle finals on
Saturday.
Finau’s 200 IM winning time of 2 minutes 26.01 seconds broke a Hawke’s Bay Poverty Bay 13yrs girls’ age group record dating back to March of 2003.
She finished the week-long champs with titles in the 100, 200, 400 and 800 free, 100 and 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly and 200 and 400 IM.
