Gisborne’s badminton house league starts tomorrow night

GISBORNE'S badminton business house league starts tomorrow, with the first games at 6pm.

The organisors decided to have two grades — competitive and social — this year.

Fifteen teams entered, and with most choosing to play in the competitive section, it was decided that for the first round all teams would play in the main competition. The winners would move into the competitive section and the first-round losers would form the social section.

The teams are a mixture of new entries and returning “oldies”, with the total number of teams for this event up by four.

The draw for TOMORROW is —

6pm: Court 1, Hinekura v The P's; C2, Ngarangikahiwa v Uawa (1); C3, Hauiti v GDC Smashers; C4, WSP A v Team A

7pm: C1, Casuals v Nga Uri a Maui; C2, Horouta v Slammers; C3, Enterprise v WSP B.

Ngati Rangi Night Blades have a bye tomorrow.

Duty team: Enterprise (sweep courts at the end of night).
