Wiki Morrissey’s 83-16-67, for 42 points, was her best score in over 30 rounds and fittingly won her the women’s section in the club fun day stableford on Saturday.
Ray Walford broke 80 (78-12-66, for 42 points) for only the second time this year to top the men.
Leo Lexmond cleaned up last week’s veteran men’s Tuesday stableford with 102-38-64, for 44 points.

WaikohuSHE couldn’t eliminate all the negatives but Audrey Tamanui-Nunn accentuated plenty of positives to win the hidden holes stableford on Sunday.
Tamanui-Nunn had 39 points in her 107-37-70 to beat Larry Green by a point.

Poverty BayVANCE Richardson booked himself a spot in the Andy Abrahams men’s shootout final in sensational style on Saturday.
Richardson avoided being one of a group of players on net 203 who will chip off to join those who have sealed a place in the 19-man final to be held on Sunday, November 18
Richardson carded 1-over 73-10-63 — his 45 points winning a high-scoring division 1 men’s stableford.
His round featured birdies on the fifth, sixth and seventh holes in a front nine of 1-under 35.
Richardson’s efforts outshone impressive efforts from Mark Thomas (42), Neil Mackie (41) and 1-handicapper William Brown (39), who shot 2-under 70 including birdies on the 14th, 16th and 18th holes.
The mercury also rose acutely in division 2. Brian Clarke broke 90 for the first time in 3½ years to win with 89-23-66, for 42 points.
He headed off Graeme Eriksen, whose 98-32-66, for 42 points, broke a sub-100 drought at the Bay dating back to March of last year.
Ross Gibson has been labelled a OCW (One-Course Wonder) by his Sunday School brethren.
“Gibbo” narrowly avoided earning the “Toilet Seat” trophy for the worst combined stableford on the School’s annual trip, which featured rounds at Palmerston North, Manawatu, Feilding and Hastings courses.
He bounced back on Sunday with a division 1 stableford-winning 76-10-66, for 42 points, and afterwards claimed he is actually a FITCIF (Form is Temporary, Class is Forever).
The Sunday School also held its prize-giving, with Anaru Reedy winning best average stableford for the year for those who played on at least 25 Sundays.
Reedy will be looking to reproduce his best form when he and his Poverty Bay-East Coast teammates head south later this month for the national interprovincial tournament on Christchurch’s Clearwater course.
Simon Jeune would have easily won the best Sunday School average but did not play enough rounds.

Tolaga BayTERE Lincoln kept his cool under pressure to win the shootout final on Sunday.
A par on the ninth was good enough after nine players teed off the first tee and one was eliminated each hole.
Mickey Grant was knocked out on the eighth, leaving Lincoln and Neil Hansen to duel for the title.
Hansen found the bunker with his approach and was unable to up and down.
Lincoln made par to seal the deal.

Harrison will be getting a couple of shots while both go into the final hot off competing in the Gisborne East Coast seniors tournament at Poverty Bay.
The McDowell Cup mixed pairs finalists will also be decided on Sunday.
Aomihi and Dick Cook face Hazel and Jack Miratana in one semi while Robyn Ngatai and John Babbington-Welsh clash with Pauline Summersby and Jim Devery in the other.
