“Heyan (Ranasinghe Ranasinghe) and Bruno (Judd) batting for about 10-to-20 overs and making sure we didn't get completely rolled,” he said.
Judd and Billy Morse bowling eight overs on the trot was also a positive as the team looks for how they change their approach going into the semi-finals.
Captain Nathan Trowell led the wicket-takers in the first innings, with three, as six GBHS players took wickets.
His 36-not-out missing out on the top score by just one run to opener Cohen Loffler, who paired with Luke Fisher for a 60-run opening partnership.
Trowell said he was “stoked” to have picked up the win, after a great team performance with the bat and ball.
“We bowled very well early and picked up early and crucial wickets.
“It's good to see us back scoring runs which we will have to address next weekend into the semis.”
