Beale said Girls’ High midcourters Hannah Veitch and Aarika-Rahera Ruru continued to work well together.

Girls’ High coach Irene Takao said she was really pleased with three quarters of her team’s performance.
“I think the girls took their foot off the pedal in the final quarter, but they were able to maintain a winning margin.
“For three quarters of the match they played fantastically,” Takao said.
“The energy was there and they commanded every one of those three quarters.”
