Former Gisborne Boys’ High School first 15 player Jamison Gibson-Park is to make his starting debut for Ireland in their Autumn Nations Cup rugby opener against Wales at Lansdowne Road this weekend.
Qualifying for Ireland under the three-year residency rule, halfback Gibson-Park has already appeared in the emerald jersey offthe bench but this will be his first run-on appearance.
The 29-year-old former Super Rugby player and New Zealand Maori representative, now playing for Leinster, replaces regular No.9 Conor Murray, who will be on the bench.
He will be inside Leinster clubmate Jonathan Sexton.
