“I expect this game to be a similar sort of match, especially as the students will have seen that Girls’ High were so close to taking the win against Whangara a couple of weeks ago,” Beale said.
Whangara won that match by just two goals.
“However, Lytton will need the team working together for the full hour to produce a performance like that.
“Whangara have some experienced players whose connections have been improving.”
Whangara’s Tiara Weir and Tania Hill will make life tough for Ritana at the shooting end, while Bayleigh Harrison will be handful for them in mid-court.
Whangara have been finding their form more and more lately and on balance look set to win again against the students.
Their 48-35 win, and particularly the margin, over Taste One HSOG this month stiffened up the top end of the competition considerably.
Whangara showed that night they will be a force to be reckoned with again this season.
The second game tomorrow night has YMP Sunshine Brewery in action against Champers Horouta Gold, and a reality check looms for Horouta after last week’s win over Girls’ High.
“YMP have given a great display of netball skills in the past week and will be hard to stop,” Beale said.
YMP further secured their deserved top-of-the-table spot when they outplayed HSOG last Wednesday.
“Even though Horouta have tasted their first win, they will need a full team effort for the full hour if they want to add to it against YMP tomorrow night,” Beale said.
The match starts at 7.30pm.
