The district will be well represented at the Eagles Golf Society national under-17 tournament in Te Awamutu this week.

Gisborne’s Eagles Golf Society of New Zealand secretary Don McFadyen is pictured above with Zach Rolls, Ellen Ball and Jessica Hayward.

Gisborne Park and Poverty Bay member Zach plays off a 14.2 handicap, while Poverty Bay’s Ellen is on 14.5 and clubmate Jessica is on 41.6.

The trio face 54 holes of strokeplay involving junior players from all 15 provinces in the country.
