A NEW surface and new banking were in use on Sunday when Eastland Kart Club members had their first points meeting of the club's ninth season.

Young driver Vinzent MacGregor led for most of the 10-lap race but hard-charging Harley Davis took the win. Luca Vita was second and Spring Thomson, third.

In the rookies class, Nixon Gooch had three wins and Pyper Irvine had three second placings.

Second placings went to Luca Vita, Hibbert and Davis.

Thirds went to Davis, Moss and Vita.

Daniel Taylor spent many hours setting up the “my laps” timing system, which shows up results and lap times.

Club members are also doing manual lap-scoring as a back-up while the new system is bedded in.

The three fastest lap times were all recorded by KT 100s. They were: Daniel Taylor 20.257,1; Spring Thomson 20.382, 2; Luca Vita 20.444, 3.
