OVER 1100 gymnasts from 28 schools took part in the Gisborne schools’ gymnastics festival last week.

Wainui Beach and St Mary’s were equal-first in the primary schools’ division, Gisborne Intermediate was first in the intermediate division, and Gisborne Girls’ High School was first in the secondary division.

The school placings were based on a points system of three for individual first place, two for second and one for third.
