In a big day of competition for the Gisborne Cosmopolitan Club Snooker Adjunct, Wayne Tautau and Steve Wood successfully defended their title in the club championship pairs. In a tough final against Alex Nanai and snooker club president Bill Raggett, Tautau and Wood were two-frames-to-one winners. The other pairs to reach the semifinals were John Berry and Phil Thompson, and George Munro and Johnny Warren.
