The game starts at 6pm.
In the second women’s match — on the LJ Hooker turf at 7.30pm — Ben Holden Fencing Ngatapa will likely face a YMP A side on the rebound.
“That will be a game to watch,” Scragg said.
“I think YMP will be out to prove that last week’s result was just a speed bump in their season.
“They are too good a team to stay down for long. I expect a solid YMP A win tomorrow night.”
The women’s B grade start the Saturday programme at midday when GMC Kowhai take on YMP B.
Scragg expects Kowhai to continue on their winning way.
“They are clearly the top team in the B Grade,” he said.
“It will take a good performance from one of the other teams to topple them.”
At 1.45pm, GMC Gold meet Roseland Tavern Te Aowera.
“There was not much in it the last time they met, and I expect the same on Saturday.”
Scragg said Gold’s win against YMP B last week would have lifted their confidence.
“They will be hard to stop.”
After that, the turf belongs to the men. The potential match of the round — between Gisborne Boys’ High School and LOB Masters — starts at 3.30pm.
“Those two teams have been evenly matched this season, and the result could go either way,” Scragg said.
“Boys’ High need to get back to basic hockey and hopefully they can do that,” he said.
“The Masters, on the other hand, have dreamed big this season, and a lot of those dreams have become reality.
“It has been one of their better seasons. Certainly they have had more victories than they are used to.”
At 5.15pm, LOB NZ Fruits take on YMP A.
“YMP A have been absolutely on fire in the past fortnight, scoring nearly 40 goals,” Scragg said.
“LOB have been showing a bit of form, but they will be tested.”
The weekend play ends at 7pm when THC take the turf against YMP B.
Scragg predicts an easy win for THC.
