The men's and women's junior teams from Bowls Gisborne East-Coast will play their annual Waitangi Day junior intercentre fixture against their Hawke's Bay counterparts at Wairoa Bowling Club on Monday.

Both centres agreed to include junior players with eight years' playing experience or less.

Gisborne-East Coast junior women's team members this year are: Karen Pinn, Adrienne Torrie, Libby Clay and Ginny Sherriff from Gisborne Bowling Club; Joan Gledhill from Poverty Bay; Erica Thompson and Lyn Hayes from Te Karaka; and Bernie Smiler from Wairoa.

The selector/manager is Sarah Brown.

The junior men's team comprises: Geoff Pinn, Tim Sherriff and Peter Clay from Gisborne Bowling Club; Vern Withey from Wairoa; Andrew Ball and John Andrews from Poverty Bay; Willy Murray from Te Karaka; and Ray Young from Kahutia.
