The business house badminton league took off with a blast last week and many teams got in some practice sessions.

Players in the social grade had some close games, although 3 + 1 dominated their matches.

Regular competitors Slammers pipped GDC Funzees by two points after a 3-3 draw.

The new competitive grade proved popular . . . final tie scores did not reflect how close the games were.

Gizzy Mallus dominated matches against Enterprise, who haven't played for a couple of years.

Fruitworx had close matches against GDC Flashers, with only three or four points the difference in some games.

Social grade: Stanley Family defeated JT Contractors 4 matches to 2.

Slammers def GDC Funzees 3-3, 127 points to 125.

Woollie Warriors def Social Fruitworx 6-0.

Carbon Crusaders def HBUDZ 6-0.

Gizzy Mallus def Enterprise 5-1.

RSL 51s def Mallu Boys 5-1.

Fruitworx def GDC Flashers 5-1.

6pm: Court 1, 3 + 1 v Woollie Warriors; C2, Stanley Family v Social Fruitworx; C3, Vibrationz v Carbon Crusaders; C4, GDC Funzees v JT Contractors.

7.15pm: C 1, Slammers v HBUDZ; C2, Gizzy Mallus v GDC Flashers; C3, Fruitworx v RSL 51s; C4, Mallu Boys v Enterprise.
