Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club will host one of the fastest, most physical and unpredictable New Zealand championship events in March – the IRB nationals.

The BP NZ IRB (inflatable rescue boat) championships are the largest IRB event on the Surf Life Saving NZ calendar, and one of themost thrilling.

The carnival is being held at Waikanae Beach from March 27-29, and Gisborne crews have a history of success.
