THE Poverty Bay Year 6 team have won four of their first five matches at the Riverbend cricket tournament in Napier.

They beat Wellington sides Karori, Onslow, Collegians and Eastern Suburbs.

Their only defeat so far, in their fifth game, was at the hands of Havelock North when the Bay could not recover from 20-5.

Liam Barbier and Logan Orsler have enjoyed success with both bat and ball.

Poverty Bay 132-6 (L Barbier 30no) defeated Karori 101-9 (L Barbier 2-9).
