KahutiaKahutia Bowling Club’s Liquorland-sponsored closing day tournament was held on Sunday afternoon.

The 36 players who took part enjoyed playing on the magnificent greens in a fun afternoon of triples, with two games of six ends each.

The winners were Kevin Bright (skip), Jim Beale and Paige Richter (lead), with two wins and a plus-18 differential.

Second were Murray Murton (skip), Frank McLoughlin and Marie Thomas (lead), with two wins and a plus-7 differential.

Third were Ray Smith (skip), Cheryl Jenkins and Graham Atkins (lead), with one win and a plus-10 differential.

Following the tournament’s prizegiving, club president Murray Murton presented club championships, trophies and awards.

Chris Hewson won the award for most improved player of the year while Ray and Judy Taylor were named club persons of the year.
