The Graham Shield Mixed Graded Fours tournament was held in near-perfect playing conditions on Saturday at the Poverty Bay Bowling Club.

Warm, sunny weather with a slight sea breeze greeted an enthusiastic group of 13 teams from Poverty Bay, Kahutia, Gisborne and Te Karaka clubs.

Overall winners were Lucy Shanks (skip), Leighton Shanks (director), Willy Murray (two) and Erica Thompson (lead) with four wins.

Runners-up were Andrew Ball (s), Geoff Pinn (d), Otto Louw (2) and Karen Pinn (l), with four wins.

Third were Steve Berezowski (s), Ian Carroll (d), Ellen Valentine (2) and Colin Evans (l) with three wins and one loss.
