Sunshine and light breezes were in abundance for the McKenzie Shield Mixed Eight-point Triples Tournament held at Poverty Bay Bowling Club last Wednesday.
A full contingent of 16 teams played three games each.
Winners of the McKenzie Shield were Jan Powell (skip), Erin Sutherland and Dusty Miller.
Runners-up were LexKennedy (s), Barrie Denham and Joan Gledhill, and third were Robin Jefferson (s), Bruce Ball and Karen Pinn.
Club members thanked the Ballance Street Village Butchery for its sponsorship and appreciated having players from the Gisborne, Kahutia and Tolaga Bay clubs taking part.
