TRADITION REKINDLED: The Rongowhakaata Shield annual clash between Gisborne Boys’ High School and Te Aute College first 15 rugby teams was rekindled here on Saturday after a lengthy absence. Gisborne won 53-8, finishing their season in style in scoring eight tries to one. Testing the Te Aute defence are No.8 and captain Quade Tapsell. The GBHS under-14s made no contest of their match against Te Aute, running in 19 tries in a 129-5 romp. Match report in tomorrow’s Herald.All pictures by Paul Rickard
