SAM Brooks will long remember the Pukahu Show in Hawke’s Bay.

Eight-year-old Sam won his first showjumping competition there. He was riding Golden Willow Romeo in a 65-centimetre class.

Pukahu, last month, was the first equestrian show of the season for some Gisborne district competitors. Several of them had wins and placings.

Riders have a busy season ahead.

The Poverty Bay Show is on October 12, 13 and 14.
