The largest school sporting event in Gisborne history provides gymnastics displays for parents and supporters of more than 1200 students.

The Tairawhiti School Gymnastics Festival, in its 50th year, was held yesterday and today, with the finale tonight at 5.30pm at the Electrinet Sports Centre in Aberdeen Road.

Students have been practising hard all year, putting in thousands of hours to hone choreographed routines to delight the audience.
