First Light Marathon: The fourth First Light Marathon starts at 5.40am, followed by the fun fun at 6.10am. Beginning and ending near the Midway Surf Rescue Community Hub on the boardwalk.

Rise & Shine at Tatapouri Bay: Start your weekend by the ocean with gentle yoga, fresh air and positive vibes. 7am-8am, Tatapouri Bay, 516 Whangara Rd, Makorori.

St Andrew’s Car Boot Sale: Find bargains and treasures at this regular event at St Andrew’s Community Centre. 8am-11am, 176 Cobden St.

Wai Market: A community market at the Waikirikiri kura, 8am-11am, 7 Pickering St, Kaiti. With local food and stalls, this is a relaxed and friendly market rooted in supporting local.

Paws in the Park at Eastwoodhill Arboretum: Paws in the Park is back for more weekends of four-legged fun. Wander through 25kms of stunning forest paths. Dogs must be on a lead. 9am-4pm, 2392 Wharekopae Rd, Ngātapa.
