Ute found empty after crash

Emergency services were called to Wharekopae Road near the Patutahi Golf Course early yesterday morning after a ute left the road and crashed.
It happened at around 12.50am.
“When we arrived there was no one with the vehicle and no sign in the vehicle of injury to anyone in it,”
a senior firefighter said.
“The ute had been heading towards Patutahi.”
Police have an inquiry under way.
