THE top student from the latest wing to graduate from the Royal New Zealand Police College is to work in Wairoa.
Of the 78 new police officers to graduate from Wing 326, two are coming to this region.
Constable Aaron Harris will start work in Wairoa in a week’s time. He received the Minister’s Award for the top student at the Thursday graduation ceremony.
“Being a constable has always been a dream of mine and I’m keen to put what I have learnt at the college into practice,” he said. “It was hard work throughout training. The volume of information you have to learn is challenging.”
Six of the new officers were posted to the Eastern police district.
