I wish to know how much it would currently cost to repair the railway from Gisborne to Wairoa. On his visit to Gisborne prior to the election, Winston Peters hinted that reopening the line from Gisborne to Napier was a logical possibility.

Shane Jones, speaking to the select few — who probably generally voted for National — stated there were mixed messages about the benefits of so doing.

I also wish to know how much money in road user chargers was paid by all the logging trucks during 2017 for this region. Where does that money go? It should all be ploughed back into our local infrastructure.

Who are the people who decide how the provincial funding will be spent?
