Former Lions governors from around New Zealand enjoyed a visit to Gisborne and finding out about the Gisborne club's work with Gisborne City Vintage Rail.

The group enjoyed a morning tea on a carriage of the Wa165 steam train and saw some preparations being made for the upcoming summer season.

The Lions NZ Council of District Governors 1994/95 has met annually since 1994 when they attended the Lions International Convention and leadership training in Phoenix Arizona to prepare for their year as District Governors.

This year's gathering was hosted by Hans and Patricia Kwak.
