Good weather played the part for the Matawai Dog Trial Club’s event last Friday and Saturday and the trial attracted a healthy number of competitors across the two days.

The titles were shared around across the four events.

“A huge thank you to the land owners, sponsors, judges, liberators, helpers and to Henry and Lawrence Rau for supplying the sheep . . . they worked well,” a trials spokesman said.

“Thank you also to Matawai School for feeding everyone across the two days.

“Well done to all Matawai club members, who put in a top effort, not only at the trial but the whole week prior.”
