THOSE who have lost loved ones can pay tribute to them and support Hospice Tairawhiti as part of the Caring Connections in our Community campaign.

Farmers has joined Hospice New Zealand to help raise funds for local hospice care branches throughout the country. The campaign theme represents the community-based nature of hospice services and the sense of connection that Farmers has in the community.

There are two ways that people can support Hospice Tairawhiti, at Farmers or at the hospice shop in Peel Street, via the Tree of Remembrance or by buying a specially designed hand-painted bauble.

The Tree of Remembrance is an opportunity to remember someone special in the lead-up to Christmas.

When you make a donation you will receive a card to write your personal message on, and you can then place it on the dedicated remembrance tree in each store.

Two baubles are available for purchase for $10 each, designed by New Zealand artists Michel Tuffery and Letita Lam.

“All funds raised in Gisborne will remain in our community to support Hospice Tairawhiti and enable us to keep our services free of charge to everyone who needs us,” said Hospice Tairawhiti general manager Barbara Grout.

The campaign starts this week and continues until Christmas Eve.
