THREE people ended up in Gisborne Hospital on Friday and over the weekend with injuries as a result of falls from vehicles and a horse. All were airlifted by the ECT rescue helicopter.
The chopper flew to Te Puia Springs Hospital at 10.30pm on Friday to collect a 16-year-old who
had fallen from a horse earlier in the day.

The aircraft flew to Tolaga Bay at 2pm that same day to attend to a 17-month-old child who had fallen from the back of a stationary vehicle.
“The child was attended to by a St John intensive care paramedic before being flown to Gisborne Hospital for treatment.”
