A CAR hit the small bridge in Stout Street just past Pine Street on Saturday night and two men in the vehicle suffered injuries that needed hospital treatment.
Police, Fire Emergency NZ and St John Ambulance were called to the crash scene at around 7.40pm.
“The vehicle hit the endof the bridge,” police said.
St John Ambulance transported two people to hospital.
“One of the men had serious injuries and another moderate injuries,” an ambulance spokesman said.
