A group of 30 new Kiwis took the Oath of Allegiance before Mayor Rehette Stoltz in the Gisborne District Council chambers on Thursday.
Thirty new New Zealanders took the Oath of Allegiance before Gisborne Mayor Rehette Stoltz on Tuesday in a citizenship ceremony in the Gisborne District Council chambers.
The mayor congratulated them on making Tairāwhiti their home.
“It is a celebration of the diverse community that makes our region strong,” she said.
“They join the many people from all parts of the world who have lived in and contributed to our region for many years.
“Their skills, cultures, perspectives, and dedication enrich our community in countless ways.”
