Opinion

You never miss your water ’til it’s dry. These past couple of months since Gabrielle have been a trial to say the least, for some more so than others. I just wanted to send a massive mihi to all our road workers and all the men and women who have worked tirelessly to get our water supply back on track. Having brown water is the least of many people’s problems but to now have clear, beautiful water coming through our home again is a blessing our whanau is thankful for.

Also, while travelling the roads I see so many machines working every day to clear debris and stabilise roadsides, and work to keep traffic moving as safely as possible.  Not enough is said or done to thank all these men and women for all they do. So from me and mine, nga mihi nui ki a koutou. Your amazing mahi does not go unnoticed by us.

Legends All!!
