If you didn’t already know, the All Blacks play the Springboks tomorrow morning, New Zealand time, for the Webb Ellis Cup in the final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Te Wharau School got out in force yesterday dressed in black to support the All Blacks. Across the whole school, students were sporting the colour black and some fronted up in their own All Blacks regalia.

New Zealand and South Africa have won the famous trophy three times each.

Te Wharau performed haka Paikea, in the hopes that their war cries would be heard across the sea and enter Stade de France, the venue of the grand final.

Te Wharau have a message to send to their heroes in France.

“We are backing black! You inspire our whole country and we believe you can do it! Te Wharau School are all supporting the boys in black! Kia Kaha!” The  “blackout day” at Te Wharau also  featured some spirited Rippa Rugby games.
