Take two for Railbike’s ‘locals week’

Gisborne’s newest tourist attraction, Gisborne Railbike Adventure, is offering a refreshed “locals week” at discounted prices.

For locals week, GRA manager Geoff Main is offering Gisborne people a one-hour return ride from Awapuni Road/Macdonald Road to Browns Beach Road, Muriwai.

At $30 a head Gisborne locals can make the most of the fine weather forecast and be among the first to experience the adventure tourism initiative.

Designed to be ridden side-by-side on railway lines, the bicycles are lightweight and yoked together and offer scenic views from a unique angle.

Railbike rides are available from tomorrow until Friday at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Bookings can be made at Gisborne i-Site.

The minimum age is 10 and under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
