There was a magnificent line-up of two-tooth ewes at yesterday’s Matawhero ewe fair, and while prices did not reach the records of 2020, they were up $15 to $65 on last year.

There were a total of 3255 two-tooths and 1704 mixed-aged and five-year ewes offered for sale and all the quality sheep sold well.

Waihuka Farming Company, at Te Karaka, received the top price of $261 for 152 two-tooth Coopworths with facial eczema tolerance.

MJ and JM Charteris, at Waerenga-o-Kuri, sold 1050 capital stock, two-tooth ewes and were paid prices ranging from $260 down to $245.
