The Spirit of New Zealand and the waka Ngahiraka Mai Tawhiti (Tauranga) and Haunui (Auckland) departed from Eastland Port today.
The vessels along with the Tahitian va’a moana Fa’afaite will join up with the HMB Endeavour and the rest of the Tuia 250 Flotilla sailing to Tolaga Bay, where they

The whole flotilla will be open to the public for tours during a community and voyaging education day on Monday, from 8.30am at the Tolaga Bay Wharf.
The tall ships will depart in daylight hours on the same day but the waka flotilla will be around for a second open day on Tuesday before departing on Wednesday.
