Cruise ship Silver Muse’s visit to Gisborne on Monday made it six from six for the cruise ship season so far. The moderate-sized ship went to anchor in the bay at around 9.15am. “Tendering started straight away and we would have had 350 passengers ashore for the day out of her complement of 390 total guests on board,” an agents spokesman said. “They visited  a couple of wineries, the stingrays at Tatapouri and Eastwoodhill Arboretum and Wa165 took two train-loads out to Muriwai and back. There was also a bus tour around the city and district.” The ship sailed for Napier at about 7pm.  “It was another very successful day . . . we had a few concerns about weather and sea conditions at the start, but it all worked well.” The next cruise ship — the Crystal Symphony — calls on December 23.
