Organisers of the annual Poverty Bay A&P Spring Show have had a strong response when it comes to bookings for trade space this year, with 90 percent of it already taken.

Show association general manager Erica McNeil said as well as as “a great response from previous trades exhibitors”, they have a few new ones on board this year.

“The carpark members ballot has closed, but parks are still available.

“Most of the Show’s section schedules have been sent out and are available on our website, with National Dancing and Equestrian being finalised now.”

The first section to close will be the home industries on August 23.

Dog trials and national dancing both close on September 8; livestock, dairy goats, shearing and wood chopping all close on September 15; and equestrian  on September 26.

“We’d like to thank the public for their comments on ideas for entertainment for the  Show, and the entertainment committee have met and discussed the ideas.

“Work is in progress on that.”
