Further road closures will take place on State Highway 35 next week. The highway between Kopuaroa Road and Ihungia Road, north of Te Puia Springs, will be closed periodically on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
The closures will allow contractors to replace culverts where the road is too narrow to
safely allow traffic to pass while the work is under way.
The closures have been timed to avoid peak commuter and school traffic and will run from 8.30am-midday, 12.30pm-2.30pm and 3.30pm-5pm.
“We ask people to plan their travel to avoid those times or expect lengthy delays,” an NZTA spokesperson said.
