There has been a happy ending to the abandoned dog story the Herald ran last month.

Roamin, the 18-month-old Labrador/Greyhound cross is roamin’ no more.

He was found abandoned in a local forest and cared for by two Gisborne women. Now a Makorori Beach couple have adopted him.

Amanda Hadfield, one of the women who looked after Roamin, said he had gone to “an amazing” new home.

“We’re so pleased it’s turned out so well, and so thankful to his loving new family.”
