The annual Cancer Society fundraiser Relay For Life is happening this weekend at Showgrounds Park. The Gisborne East Coast branch is aiming to raise $135,000.

FRIDAY

Community Karakia & Waiata: A space for the community to gather, connect and give thanks through song, line dancing and other activities. Held at the Treble Court fountain or Haututu Hacklab in Treble Court, city centre. 8.30am-9am. All community and whānau welcome.

Tahini Bikini: Pōneke-based group known for their distinctive mix of funk, soul and pop influences elevated by frontwoman Mads Taylor’s frank, feisty lyrics and smoky voice. Doors open at 8pm. Music starts at 9pm. Dome Bar & Cinema. Tickets through undertheradar.
