A planned strike at Gisborne Hospital’s X-ray and radiology department has been called off.
Medical imaging technologists (MITs), which covers staff conducting X-rays, CT scans, magnetic resonance imaging mammography, angiography or nuclear medicine, had planned a 24-hour strike today, as part of a nationwide pay dispute.
However, that strike wascancelled.
Strike action would have affected district health board X-ray and CT services at Gisborne Hospital.
