POLICE made four arrests in the early hours of this morning after a dog team tracked down four people in relation to a stolen motor vehicle found in Gisborne city.

The car was spotted in the city centre by a police patrol at around 2am.

“The people in the vehicle got out and ran off.

“They were tracked by the dog team, then arrested,” police said.

“The men and women ranged in age from the early 20s into the late 30s.”

The police inquiry into the incident continues with charges pending.
