Someone had a lucky escape from this vehicle either late on Saturday night or in the early hours of Sunday on Wainui Road between Harris and Hirini streets. Police are still investigating but it appears the Ford Falcon's roof came out the better - fortunately for the occupant of the car - after a collision with a metal pole.
