For those with an interest in things celestial, there will be a partial lunar eclipse just before dawn tomorrow, weather and clouds permitting.

The Moon will be obscured by the outer part of Earth’s shadow, starting just after 5am.

At its greatest extent, around 6.45am only a tiny sliver of Moon will still be fully lit by the Sun, as the sky lightens towards sunrise at around 7am.

The Moon will be sinking below the western horizon as the Sun rises in the east.
