To mark Shrove Tuesday yesterday, Te Wiremu House staff served up pancakes with lashings of cream, fruit and banoffee sauce to the rest home's residents.
Hospice singers also entertained residents with songs from a selection of 350 tunes in the group's songbook.
The Christian tradition of Shrove Tuesday is said
to be a time of self-examination - and the consumption of pancakes.
